Factors decide to the quality of labour

  1. ABSTRACT

2018 marks the turning point for world-changing events, typically the industry's 4.0 revolution, which promises an unexpected experience in conquering the pinnacle of global technology development. With the continuous development of society through the ages, the demand for labor in each period is different. Now, the year of integration has begun to explode at its peak, countries in the world are opening up exchanges and integrating with each other through the form of academic forums. By doing so, they can discuss knowledge and share new things, for example, leadership skills, debates, communication. So, it can be seen that the progress of society is promoting the continuous learning and training of human resources throughout the world. Therefore, the level of labor of 2018 onwards will have to constantly cultivate, add new knowledge to be able to join the pace of social development in the future.

Specifically, the international language will be expanded and the good news is English still predominates. In fact, English is recognized as International Language for its easier comprehension compared to other languages. However, the language that laborers need to consider in the further is Chinese and Spanish. The reason is based on the political situation and the amount of users of these two languages are increasing. In Vietnam, human resources also need to learn Japanese as Japan is closely associated with Vietnam.

Cultivating foreign languages, is that enough to train global human resources? Specialization also plays an essential role in improving professionalism in front of international friends. At present, there are many students graduating with a bachelor's degree, they aspire to continue their studies at Master's, Doctor's level at their native countries or abroad. Seeking for higher education is growing; therefore, it is rumored that some of countries will access to higher education in order to raise the level of labor to the macro level. This is likely to occur due to the rising of human life expectancy, as health is greatly improved by the development of medicine. In addition, the governments may change retirement policy, specifically raising the retirement age to encourage students to participate in graduate degrees.

In addition to education and foreign language skills, there is still another factor that labor resources in the integration period should not be ignored, the profound knowledge from all aspects of life. Integration means a wide range of ability, there will be plenty of opportunities waiting for qualified workforce. Hence, being specialized in one factor will become insufficient in the era that requires the laborers to be global citizens. To prove themselves ready to keep pace with the society, individuals need to equip themselves with knowledge in the fields of health, natural sciences, social sciences, history, economics, literature. chemistry, geography.

  1. INTRODUCTION

21st century is the era of science and technology, the elite from all over the world is welcome everywhere, which facilitates the process of integration development. In particular, the establishment of ASEAN in 1967 marked a turning point for a flourishing period. ASEAN is created to bring benefits to its members, as well as to create great conditions in order to improve the quality of life for the workforce in these countries. Since then, many exchange programs have been held to train new human resources for future generations.

Typically, the Ship for South East Asian Youth Program- SSEAYP was sponsored by Japan and established on January 1974. It was a cooperation agreement between Japan and five Southeast Asian countries at the time, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. On January 1984, Brunei Darussalam became a member of ASEN and joined the program in 1985. Next, Vietnam joined ASEAN on July 1995 and officially became a member of the program in 1996. After joining ASEAN on July 1997, SSEAYP officially welcomed the Laos and Myanmar as members in 1998. Finally, Cambodia joined ASEA in April 1999 and joined SSEAYP in 2000. Since SSEAYP was organized, the program has trained many potential young leaders, opening up a promising future for the current international integration era.

In addition to SSEAYP, European countries are also actively engaged in academic exchange programs that encourage students to expand the limitation and learn how to become future leaders. In particular, there have been many articles about students trying to participate in international exchanges to promote thinking and nurture potential, which is the new tendency that the integration era needs to consider. The International Student Science Forum-ISSF is also a combination of cultural exchanges and academic contests, which will create strong, confident waves and pave an unexpected path for the future. In general, this will open for sustainable development of international integration. By doing that, individuals will continually train themselves to reach the global citizens standard for upcoming period.

3.1 Methodology

This study utilized a web-based survey design. The list of attributes was developed through an extensive literature review.

3.2 Challenges of labor in the international integration

3.2.1 International languages

English is still the number one choice for people in the world when it comes to international language, although a number of English speakers is only second, about 508 million. In order to reach the standard of international human resource, the first condition is English should be proficient because it is a global language and helps each person communicate understandably in a conversation. However, if you look closely at the current situation, Chinese are the most spoken language in the world. Nowadays, the Chinese population is scattered all over the world and the political advantage of China is rising. Furthermore, this nation also tends to thrive and raise to be the best country in the world. Not to mention that China is one of the five ancient countries that still exist today and has an extremely rich culture. There are now over 1 billion people using Chinese, so learning Chinese can be the springboard for future integration.

Last but not least, Spanish or Latin is also a popular language in South American and Central American countries, with the number of speakers reach to 400 million. Thus, workers have tendency to work in the Europe should consider studying English and Spanish for better positions.

 

3.2.2 Qualification

Qualifications need to be enhanced because society is constantly changing every minute. There are plenty of knowledge being updated every day, so accessing to only the surface of a factor will not be enough. In details, Bachelor’s degree is becoming more and more common so it is vital to gain a better understanding of the chosen factor. Digging further into the specialty will help oneself assert to the path of becoming a global citizen. For example, vocational training needs to enhance standards to become more professional, instead of knowing every little thing amateurishly, just be excellent and stand out in an array and make sure that no one is better than you in that array. "Learning. Learning continuously. Learning Forever" is a statement to claim that exploring new knowledge is a lifetime job, what has been known for today will become obsolete tomorrow.

3.2.3 Life knowledge

International integration means gathering diverse knowledge in many different areas around world, so a qualified labor of global standard will need to accumulate some certain wisdoms from many aspects of life besides having professional knowledge. Natural science is close and often present in our lives, without which there is no electricity, no agricultural development or medical breakthroughs.

Science and technology have also played a key role in transforming social life. In details, the great inventions and discoveries in science and technology are one of the keys to develop society rapidly over the past 20 years. This sector has prospered the era of technology revolution 4.0 with a lots promises of a great future.

Space science as well as astronomy was considered long time ago, but until the 19th century, the exploration of new planets was accelerated. The field reached its highest peak when the astronauts landed the spaceships on the moon. However, the countries participating in the space campaign will open new visions and discoveries in 2018. Generally, all nations are aiming to find a second earth, so a labor force of International integration period can not ignore these amazing events. Living in an age of integration without learning about science is like illiteracy.

In order to flourish these above sectors, the society should simultaneously develop health, economic, cultural, history and geography because these arrays are related to each other. On the whole, knowledge of each array will help oneself become perfect and match the needs of the labor in the new era.

3.2.4 Soft skills

Entrepreneurs recently complained that the quality of human resources did not match their criteria due to lacking of essential skills. In details, the new graduates only equip themselves with the academic knowledge in college, which is not enough for the entrepreneurs because they are looking for the working ability of labors. In fact, the employees will often face actual challenges such as working in a team, time management, dealing with workload and handing assignment thoroughly. If an individual does not have teamwork skills, he or she will become discouraged in the group, leading to ineffective work. Problem solving skill needs sensitivity, flexibility, so an individual will not be able to deal with unexpected situations if the person has never been trained before. This will lead to a failure in a project.

3.2.5 Ethic at work

You may think that only the leaders need morality at work. However, the morality is needed for everyone. In fact, without it, human would not be able to achieve such majestic wonders. It is indicated that the entrepreneurs are searching for devoted and enthusiastic workforce because they believe employees with such qualities will be loyal and put their minds on the jobs, which will gain plenty of perks for the employers. Otherwise, nothing can be done with a bunch of selfish and soulless employees. In that case, the employees must demonstrate their honesty, integrity and accountability at the workplace. What this new era of international integration needs is for a critical mass to be turned into an expanded labour force with strong work ethics.

3.3 Opportunities of human resources in the era of international integration

Civilization has tendency to develop aggressively, which creates opportunities for exploiting and receiving unique trends of innovation. Human will no longer being tied in the obsolete thinking. Therefore, each person has the right to choose the suitable path and freedom to pursue their own passions. This will become the motivation to maximize the potential of human resources in international integration.

  1. CONCLUSION

Labor force has always been a decisive factor for social development. At present, this factor has become increasingly necessary and needs to be invested. Thanks to the development, activity, and unceasing contribution of all human resources in the world, human has everything they need today. In the future, the quality of human resources will be qualified 100 percent. Until then, everyone needs to overcome the psychological barriers, constantly improve and learn, which is what human resources should prepare to enter the era of international integration.
